Care & Maintenance
Keep your stone flawless for decades
Stone is incredibly durable, but a few simple habits keep it looking like the day it was installed.
Daily cleaning
Warm water, a drop of dish soap and a soft cloth. Wipe spills promptly. Skip bleach, vinegar and abrasive powders on natural stone.
Sealing
We seal natural stone on install day (15-yr warranty). Test yearly: drop water on the surface — if it darkens within minutes, it's time to reseal.
Heat
Granite & quartzite shrug off hot pans. Always use a trivet on quartz and marble to protect resin and prevent etching.
Cutting
Stone will dull your knives — always use a cutting board. It protects both your blades and the polished finish.
Care questions
Which stone needs the least maintenance?
Quartz — it's nonporous, never needs sealing, and resists stains and bacteria. Soap and water is all it needs.
How do I keep natural stone sealed?
We seal granite, quartzite and marble on install day with a 15-year warranty on the application. After that, a 15-minute reseal once a year keeps it protected.
Can I put hot pans directly on the surface?
Granite and quartzite handle heat beautifully. For quartz and marble, use a trivet to be safe.
